Fort Ann Youth League (FAYL) Athlete’s Code of Conduct

I, _______________________, hereby pledge to honor and support the FAYL Athletic Code of Conduct as stated below.
I WILL…
Strive for excellence in all I do and be a good role model.
Strive to protect the integrity of the sport by being honest.
Give maximum effort and always do my best.
Fulfill my obligations by being dependable, self-disciplined and responsible. Refrain from any behavior that is unwelcome, offensive, creates a hostile environment or is demeaning to fellow athletes, including the use of foul language or gestures.
Show respect for opponents, coaches, officials, parents, and spectators. Not brag when winning and will use constraint and poise when losing.
Refrain from any negative Social Media or Cyber Bulling in reference to any FAYL related issue.
Not discourage teammates to perform any form of trickery or evasion of rules in order to gain advantage over an opponent.
Play by the rules of the game and not lie, cheat, or steal and encourage my teammates to do the same.
Promote clean living and strive for good health.
I will be a team player at all times and strive to make Sportsmanship my #1 priority.
I understand that if I do not follow this Code, any/all of the following actions may be taken by FAYL league:
I May be:
• Issued with a verbal warning from a Coach or League Official.
• Obliged to leave the venue by the Coach or League official.
• Requested by the FAYL not to attend future games.
• Suspended or have FAYL membership removed.
I understand: .
• I may not attend a FAYL event if I am not in attendance at school on the day of the event.
I have read and understand the above statements and agree to conduct myself in a manner consistent with this Code of Conduct. __
