Fort Ann Youth League Rules
The Fort Ann Youth League sports teams are in the Southern Adirondack Youth League, we will follow their rules. The Fort Ann Youth League has a representative for each sport on the S.A.Y.L. Board. If you have any questions about the rules you can contact the FAYL President.
The Fort Ann Youth League has some additional rules,
-Each child needs a waiver filled out for each sport.
-Each child and parent needs to fill out a code of conduct and hand them into the childs coach, for each sport.
-During Spring and Fall sports each family will be required to pay a fee of $60.00 or actively participate on a Youth League Committee for the current sports season. When the family has finished 3 hours of volunteer time (during that season), the $60.00 will be given back.
-Some equipment is required to be purchased by the parents, depending on the sport.
Southern Adirondack Youth League Rules
The Southern Adirondack Youth League (S.A.Y.L.) was started in the fall of 2015. Most of the Youth Leagues and Commissions came together with a rep for each sport and from each town to come up with a set of rules for every team that participates in the league to go by. This will benefit children in the Washington and Warren County that participate in this league. There will be less confusion with the rules and the children can focus on one set of rules and most of all have fun. Also this will help make it less confusing for the coaches and parents as well. Each sport has its own set of rules, if you would like to look at them we have a link in the Rules drop down tab.
